My name is Kaitlen. I am a lifelong student of Appalachian folklore and supernatural history. I’m excited to share Fayetteville’s spookiest spots with you while you visit the beautiful New River Gorge National Park. Join me for tales of the town’s haunted history— witches, souls lost to the civil war, spectral thespians, ghostly school children, unfortunate coal miners, infamous unexplained disappearances and more!

Is this tour appropriate for children?

Although not explicit, mentions of violence, death, gore, suicide, murder, and other adult themes will come up. Everyone is welcome to attend, but, this may not be appropriate for ghouls and goblins under 8 years of age.

Are there prohibited behaviors?

Rude, unruly, obviously intoxicated, guests or those exhibiting lewd behavior will be removed. Harassment of other guests or your guide will not be tolerated for any reason. Guests are asked not to smoke in the group.

Is there a bathroom?

There is no public bathroom.

Is this tour accessible?

We welcome haints and spirts of all kinds! The tour will take place on sidewalks and pavement. Please make your us aware of any accessibility needs so we can best adapt to best accommodate you.

Where does the tour begin and end?

The tour begins and ends at the Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau at 162 Court Street in Fayetteville.

Can I bring my pet?

Well behaved pets are allowed, but MUST be leashed and are the responsibility of the owner. Service animals welcome!

Will the tour operate if it rains or snows?

As long as a severe weather warning or watch is not in affect, the tour will operate as scheduled.

What should I wear?

Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! A light jacket is recommended in the Fall and an umbrella is never a bad idea.

Will we enter any homes or buildings?

The tour will be entirely outdoors. It is prohibited to enter any private residences or other properties.
